PRE-COUPLED ANTIEROSIVE ARR GEOCOMPOSITE FOR SLOPE STABILIZATION

As part of the safety of slopes in loose soil, in altered or mixed rock, which suffer from
erosive, the ARR pre-coupled Geocomposites allow, in a single solution, to have the mechanical protection provided 
by the wire mesh, and by the anti-erosion and renaturalizing action provided by the bio- and geo-nets; they can be applied both as a simple passive coating on the slope and as an active cortical coating in synergy with nailing and tie rods.
Main application advantages of ARR Geocomposites:

• Simultaneous creation of a surface anti-erosion control and cortical consolidation work;

• Greater laying efficiency, reduces i. by about 50%.

• The coupling methodology allows the possibility of having a correct adherence of the bionets e geogrids on the slopes, reducing the risk of underlying erosive runoff.

The main types of ARR preassembled anti-erosion geocomposites, and the related application areas are:

• ARCO geocomposite, consisting of a double twist wire mesh, pre-coupled with 100% coconut fiber biomesh. Suggested use in the stabilization and renaturation of earth slopes, in altered or mixed rock, up to a maximum inclination of 65-70°; suitable for most interventions with the presence and/or carryover of organic matter on the slope;
• ARRMAT geocomposite; made of double-twisted wire mesh, pre-coupled with gripping geomat of variable color, in polypropylene with a high honeycomb index with anti-erosion and gripping function. Suggested use on slopes with a low inclination and with a regular profile (for example basins and landfills), where friction is particularly low;
• ARRPET geocomposite; made of double twist wire mesh, pre-coupled with UV stabilized polyethylene geotextile, dark green. Suggested use in the stabilization of slopes with fine or very fine material, suitable for counteracting possible phenomena of small surface debris flows; in fact, the ARRPET allows the solid part to be retained and the liquid part to leave, producing a defluidification of the mass
and thus limiting their mobility. The opening of the mesh is designed not to hinder the development of pioneer vegetation, favored by the retention of the finest earth accumulations in the geocomposite;
• ARRMET geocomposite; made of double twisted wire mesh, pre-coupled with tightly woven triple twisted mesh. Particularly suitable for the protection and strengthening of slopes in fractured rock, or heavily altered with the presence of minor lithoids; in particular of escarpments in roadside, railway and in general in anthropized areas While the rockfall net stabilizes the larger lithoid parts, the presence of the net
triple torsion with dense mesh allows the retention of breccias and lithoids even of small dimensions, avoiding the leakage of gravel beyond the foot of the slope

ARRFORT ENHANCED STONE PROTECTION NET / ENHANCED GEOCOMPOSITES
(ArrPet Fort, Arco Fort and ArrMat Fort)

Arrigo Gabbioni Italia provides operators in the field of slope consolidation a
new type of double twist stone guard, equipped with CE marking, with enhanced performance
compared to traditional stone guards.
The ARRFORT system, both in the classic stone guard application for the consolidation of rock slopes, and
in the function of anti-erosion geocomposite on slopes with altered or mixed lithoid matrix (ArrPet Fort and
Arco Fort), as well as for the embankment anti-erosion protection (ArrMat Fort); allows you to reach
performance up to 50% higher than the classic double twist stone guard.
ARRFORT has an average punching resistance of 101 kN (test according to UNI EN
11437:2012).
The ARRFORT system therefore allows the designer to be able to use double twist mesh systems
simple, also for the resolution of problems with energies higher than those of the dual network
standard torsion used up to now, thus expanding the range of application possibilities and reducing the
need to oversize the choice of materials;
This technology can be combined with cortical strengthening systems such as bars, nails
anchor, ropes and other accessories.

It is generally used for the cortical strengthening of fractured rock slopes, in order to avoid the
detachment and rolling of lithoid elements downstream; in particular for risk mitigation in anthropic areas
(population centres, infrastructure, roads and railways).
The stone guard net can be used as a simple cladding on the slopes, or be combined with systems
of cortical strengthening such as bars, anchor nails, ropes and other accessories.
Arrigo Gabbioni Italia srl manufactures various types of stone guard nets with a double twist hexagonal net, with
diameters and anti-erosion coating of the wire and mesh in compliance with the Superior Council Guideline
LL.PP. 69/2013 and equipped with CE marking.
Being a direct manufacturer, Arrigo Gabbioni Italia can customize the dimensions of the rolls according to the needs of
project.

BIOSATMATS, GEOGRIDS AND ANTIEROSIVE FABRICS

For the light anti-erosion protection of slopes, embankment areas and roads, or for integration and completion
of more voluminous structural works (for example gabions, reinforced earth, metal mattresses, capping in
landfill, lining basins and canals), Arrigo Gabbione Italia has anti-erosion and reinforcement bio and geosynthetics,
with different characteristics, performance and application areas, based on the needs of sector operators.
In particular, the types proposed and the related application areas are:

HIGH TENACITY GEOGRIDS; mainly used as a reinforcing element for low impact earthworks with high slopes, in road support works, railway and securing landslide slopes;
• HIGH INDEX CRIPPING GEOMATS 
ALVEOLAR; used as anti-erosion mainly in landfills, on the banks of

channels and on slopes;

• COCONUT OR JUTE NATURAL FIBER BIOSATMATS, generally used for retention of fine soil and/or as a support for hydroseeding, on natural, artificial slopes, or on embankments outside the normal hydraulic circulation; for low impact works;

• GEOTEXTILES, in synthetic fibre; used normally
as an anti-erosion agent, separator filter or draining filter, between the substrate and the layer 
of foundation at the base of road and railway embankments and in hydraulic works.

TRIPLE LAYER ARR GEOCOMPOSITE ANTIEROSIVE PRE-LAYER FOR SLOPE STABILIZATION AND EMBANKMENT

As part of the safety of slopes or embankment embankments subject to erodibility phenomena and which
contextually present both matrices in soil and lithoids of small size or with a high degree of
erodibility, it is important to be able to guarantee at the same time a mechanical action (exercised by the net

The main types of preassembled ARR Triple Layer anti-erosion geocomposites and the related areas
applications are:

  • ARCOMET Triple Layer Geocomposite, consisting of double twist wire mesh,
    pre-bonded with 100% coconut fiber biomesh and triple twisted fine mesh wire mesh.
    Suggested use in the stabilization and renaturation of slopes in soil and with both lithoid matrix
    medium and small pieces, up to a maximum inclination of 65-70°; indicated for most
    part of the interventions with the presence and/or carry-over of organic matter on the slope;

  • ARCOPET Triple Layer Geocomposite; made of double-twisted, pre-coupled wire mesh
    with dark green UV stabilized polyethylene geotextile and 100% fiber bionet
    coconut.
    Suggested use in stabilizing slopes with altered matrix and fine, very fine or
    loose, clayey or marly, with medium-long renaturation times suitable for contrasting possible
    small surface debris flow phenomena; in fact, the ARRPET allows you to withhold the
    solid part and let the liquid part come out, producing a defluidification of the mass e
    thus limiting their mobility. The opening of the shirt is designed not to hinder the development of
    pioneer vegetation, favored by the retention of the finest earth accumulations in the geocomposite;

  • ARCOPET IDRO geocomposite; made of double twisted wire mesh 6x8,

    mixed earthy matrices (also fine) and litho
